Yellow Ribbon for the Forces Week is aimed at raising money for and awareness of the Yellow Ribbon Foundation and its chosen charity this year – uk4uThanks, the people behind the Christmas Boxes for the Troops.
The Foundation, which plans to "turn a whole town yellow" and the release of 1500 yellow balloons as a grand finale to the awareness week, is encouraging people to hold coffee mornings, a Dress Yellow Day at work or school and other events to raise funds for their work
