Blenheim Palace will be the scene for the first, hopefully annual Festival for Heroes on Saturday 20th June. As well as being a fun day out for all the family, the organisers of the festival hope to raise over £1million for The Royal British Legion from the 30,000 visitors expected on the day.
To quote from the website: Festival for Heroes is an event like no other on the festival calendar. One main stage will be the devoted to live music acts, comedians and celebrities, there will be two large screens running throughout the event and a fun-fair – we’ve made sure there’s something for everyone. There will also be video-links from very special people, such as serving personnel in Iraq and Afghanistan.
