New Scottish Veterans' Fund announced

Communities Minister, Stewart Maxwell will be announcing the Scottish Government's plans for a new fund to support ex-servicemen and women in Scotland.
The Scottish Government has responsibility to veterans in housing, health and social care, education and employability and has already legislated for veterans to receive priority access to NHS services for any conditions which are likely to be related to their military service. The new fund will be primarily aid at those who find particular difficulty in adjusting to civilian life following their service careers.
Perhaps the other national governments in the UK will follow Scotland's lead and set up similar funds.
