Thousands turned out to honour 'A' (Norfolk) Company 1st Battalion The Royal Anglian Regiment when they exercised the Freedom of King's Lynn today, Sunday 30th March. The soldiers were presented with their campaign medals in Tuesday Market Place prior to marching through the town to the applause of local people.
Company commander Major Dominic Biddick, who earned a Military Cross for his gallantry throughout the campaign against the Taliban, praised the immaculate drills of his troops and the support from the crowd. "The attendance was magnificent. It was really good to see such sterling support from the people of Norfolk," he said.
