A petition
has just been started to pressurize the Government into allowing relatives of soldiers who have died in Iraq to visit their memorial in Basra. The memorial, made up of a number of plaques each inscribed with a hero's name, has been erected by members of the Armed Forces in honour of their fallen comrades. As there are no plans to re-locate this memorial back home to the UK, the families of the fallen would need to travel to Iraq to visit it.
It has taken a lot of effort to get the Government to agree to set up an e-Petition on its website, so now that it's there, please add your name to the list via the link below.
