Cry 'God for Harry, England and St George!' (II)

It was announced today that Prince Harry has been one of the lads on the frontline in Afghanistan for 10 weeks working as a forward air controller calling in air support when needed. Given the nickname the bullet magnet, he is apparently fulfilling a long-held ambition to serve with the troops on the ground. "I finally get the chance to do the soldiering that I want to do. ........It's very nice to be sort of a normal person for once, I think it's about as normal as I'm going to get". His presence in Afghanistan not only provides a good morale boost for the other guys fighting on the frontline, it also gives a boost to the credibility of the monarchy itself.

Good for you, Prince Hal!

[PS. Depicted in Shakespeare's Henry IV as a wild, undisciplined lad, Prince Hal grew into a mature man and, as Henry V, led English forces to a heroic victory at the Battle of Agincourt. So, lots of parallels here then]
