Boris Johnson, who is standing for election as Mayor of London, has promised that one of the first things he would do if elected would be to provide free bus travel to wounded troops.He said: “It is high time we offered injured veterans from all theatres of war the right to free travel on London’s buses. Given what they have been through, and given the way they are sometimes treated, it seems to me the least we can do.”
That's a vote winner, Boris!
