Hundreds of medical troops who have returned from duty in Iraq have taken part in a homecoming parade in York. The UK Medical Group was part of 1 Mechanized Brigade and was made up of the British Military Hospital and Medical Squadron based at the Contingency Operating Base just outside Basra City. The unit was responsible for evacuating and treating casualties across the British Area of Responsibility in southern Iraq.A vital role well done!
