A new Armed Forces charity was launched last November. Its purpose is to provide free tickets for sporting and entertainment venues to serving members of the Armed Forces and those discharged for injury since 2001.So far, nearly 40,000 serving and former members of the Armed Services have registered and over 50,000 free tickets have been donated.
Joanna Lumley, one star in the cahrity's galaxy of patrons, said: "This is a win-win arrangement: brave and deserving troops get to see shows, concerts, fights and games: and we in the world of entertainment and sport get a chance to show them that we think they are the best of the best, and support them with all our hearts. Fabulous!!"
