Rifleman James Backhouse was one of the five soldiers from 2nd Battalion The Rifles who were killed in Afghanistan on 10th July. Today tribute was paid to him at a charity rugby match in his home town. The game, between Castleford Tigers and a team of Army veterans, was held to raise money for Help for Heroes.
Rifleman Backhouse's funeral will take place on Monday. He was 18.
