Google engineer Sean Askay has created a map in Google Earth which pays tribute to all the Coalition servicemen and women who have given their lives for their countries in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Google engineer Sean Askay has created a map in Google Earth which pays tribute to all the Coalition servicemen and women who have given their lives for their countries in Iraq and Afghanistan.On his blog Sean says: "I have created a map for Google Earth that will connect you with each of their stories—you can see photos, learn about how they died, visit
memorial websites with comments from friends and families, and explore the places they called home and where they died."
The map was launched on 24th May and currently includes data up to March 2009 - that's 5,679 lives. Each figure on the map has a story to tell.
