Captain Alex Eida, 2nd Lieutenant Ralph Johnson and Lance Corporal Ross Nicholls were killed in Helmand, Afghanistan on Tuesday 1st August 2006 when their Spartan armoured reconnaissance vehicle was attacked by insurgents with rocket propelled grenades and heavy machine guns.
