City Council is considering introducing a multi-million pound military festival to rival Edinburgh's Military Tattoo. The Council's website says: Such an event would be a military extravaganza that could centre around our magnificent Castle. It could involve a military contingent from across our own region and would be a vibrant celebration highlighting the skills of our armed forces. It could also be an opportunity to celebrate the return of members of our armed forces who have been serving the Country in Afghanistan and Iraq and show them our appreciation.
