36 Engineer Regiment homecoming parade

Despite heavy rain 2,000 members of the public lined the streets of Maidstone to welcome home and applaud 330 servicemen and women of 36 Engineer Regiment who have recently completed a six-month tour of duty in the Helmand Province, a tour in which two of their comrades were killed. Before the parade the soldiers received their Operational Service Medals. The parade was followed by a thanksgiving and remembrance service, and the regiment later attended a reception for themselves and their families.
Well done 36 Engineers! Well done Maidstone!
