The organisers of the Windsor military tattoo are hoping to 
raise £250,000 for the Royal British Legion. The tattoo is described as "A Military Musical spectacular in celebration of the heroic efforts and sacrifice of our soldiers". It will be "the Nation’s opportunity to witness and to show appreciation to our Armed Forces". Called 'A Heroes Welcome' the show will feature displays from soldiers who have recently returned from serving in Iraq and Afghanistan, military bands and light tanks such as Scimitars.
