These boots are made for tabbing

Full stomach or not, it's a good pair of boots that makes all the difference when out on patrol. The Ministry of Defence has just announced that the guys on the frontline now have a choice of two new types of desert boots - the Meindl and Lowa. Following evaluation of 22 different makes of boot, these two were considered the best especially for the high (50C) temperatures in Iraq and Afghanistan. So the old practice of having to "borrow" the boots of US servicemen will now be a thing of the past.
