The number of parcels sent to British troops serving abroad this Christmas was staggering - literally staggering for the guys having to unload them in Camp Bastion and such places. But the lift that receiving a parcel of goodies can give to someone serving along way from home is welcomed at any time of the year. The Royal Marines Association's National Shoebox Appeal continues throughout the year to send boxes containing shaving equipment, toothpaste, coffee, tea, soup and even things like sweets out to Iraq and Afghanistan. So if you would like to contribute, get in touch with your local RMA branch.
