14 service personnel, all highly experienced specialists, were killed following the crash of an RAF Nimrod MR2 aircraft in Afghanistan on Saturday 2nd September 2006.
The plane was trying to return to Kandahar airbase following a serious technical malfunction but crashed 12 miles short of the runway.
The servicemen who died were:
